Carter Buehl is a senior at Indiana State University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with a concentration in Costume Construction, Crafts, and Design, along with a minor in Arts Administration.
Recent productions Carter has worked on include The 24th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Misery, Reefer Madness, Airness, and Hamlet. Additional production credits can be found in his résumé.
Carter is currently developing skills in digital pattern drafting, draping, and modeling to strengthen both digital and physical fabrication processes. He plans to apply these techniques to 3D modeling, foam casting, and the precise construction of identical mascots.
Carter serves as a costume shop lead for Indiana State University’s Costume Shop, where he is responsible for training new workers, constructing complex garments, and leading restocking efforts. He also owns Wear-Wolves, a company that produces cosplays, mascots, fursuits, and accessories for various fandoms, communities, and businesses.
Carter plans to pursue graduate studies in Costume Technology or an integrated Costume Design and Technology program. He regularly attends the Southeastern Theatre Conference, where he competes in Costume Technology, Crafts, and Design within the Theatrical Costume Design category.
